The first palindromic release number on Waswotsch is a double premiere: the first album on Waswotsch is also the first official album by Samim & Michal ever! After their extremely productive phase in the mid-2000s, the congenial duo went quiet for many years due to different life plans. It was only when Samim returned to Switzerland after 15 years in Berlin that the old friends met again in Michal's studio, jammed together and also experimented with computer-aided music production. This resulted in "Dini Papi", the last EP we released from Waswotsch two years ago. In the meantime, many more new tracks have been created, a few of which we are now allowed to release in an album. This album highlights the various facets and influences of the two artists. While both producers have a penchant for bass and glitches, their affinity for playful melodies and tropical rhythms is palpable. It's the unexpected, which then makes up the unique Samim & Michal sound.
