GETME! announces its latest release: Lixo's new single 'Not To Be Here', taken from the upcoming three-track EP 'Do What?'.
'Not To Be Here' is a club-influenced yet introspective cut, blending sparse percussion with drifting, atmospheric textures. Tense yet controlled, the track unfolds with a restrained energy, allowing space, rhythm and subtle movement to guide its progression.
Built around fragments of text sampled from Aubade by Philip Larkin, the track introduces a quiet sense of detachment, woven into its structure without disrupting its functionality. The result is something fluid and immersive—shaped by the club, but more inward-looking in tone.
It's exactly the kind of "erratic, spacey and downright powerful music that GETME! is all about" (Mixmag).
Lixo is the production alias of Alex Hislop, founder of the London collective GETME!, which for 17 years has operated at the forefront of the city's progressive music landscape.
