Blending contemporary composition, improvisation and DIY sound invention, KOGG's 'Mechanista' is a bold exploration; where human breath meets mechanical process. It's a musical world built from spanners, toy whistles, brass, elastic bands and broken piano keys.

Formed by Selena Kay and Cerys Hogg, with backgrounds in classical contemporary composition and jazz improvisation, KOGG have developed a practice rooted in experimentation - where experimental music has long been shaped by a culture of seriousness, 'Mechanista' challenges the unspoken patriarchal codes of experimental music. There's something quietly radical about KOGG's perspective. The genre often tilts toward the austere or self-consciously intellectual, yet KOGG's approach feels open-hearted and mischievous. It is the meeting point of two experienced musicians/composers arriving at collaboration from distinct creative paths.
