ケイジャン・ミュージックは、18世紀末、カナダ・アカディアからアメリカ・ルイジアナ州に移住したフランス系白人移民（ケイジャン）によるアコーディオン、フィドル（ヴァイオリン）、ハーモニカ、トライアングルを使用したフォークロア・ミュージックで、時代の流れの中で、アメリカ南部のカントリーミュージックやブルース、ウエスタンスウィング、主に黒人達が演奏するザディコとお互い影響を受けながら独自に発展進化した ダンス音楽で、ここには、Segura Brothers, Amede Ardoin, Blind Uncle Gaspard, Sydney Landryなどケイジャン・ミュージックの貴重な音源が14曲収録されている。 (コンピューマ)
